THE HAMS - Giving Thanks 12"
Zaius Tapes with the heat again, digging up this one time only slice of bonehead, yarddog no-rock plucked outta the weirdo fringes of 80s underground USA. Originally issued in 1987 on Down and Out, the shortlived and sporadic label with a sparse but essential history of plain odd shit (see that amazing Prominent Disturbance LP i was also just recently turned on to), The Hams were a one 'n' done, over 'n' out, free 'n' hard rocking unit who took a bit of Groundhogs vim and potato ricered it through the lens of punk insouciance. Smart acting dumb boogie that's sharp up top and loose in the back. Edition of probably a bootleg and less than 200.
