Broadcast originally made available their two ‘Microtronics’ EPs as tour-only 3” CDs back in 2003 and 2005 respectively. Given the subtitle ‘Stereo Recorded Music For Links And Bridges’, the brief tracks (rarely more than two minutes in length) were seemingly designed to be interstitial compositions and sound sketches for use in some imaginary film or documentary, allowing the band to indulge their love for retro-futurism. Both volumes are now available via Warp on one disc.
